Soil Engineering are a long established leader in the UK Geotechnical Sector. Delivering both Ground Investigation and Drill and Grout services from three bases across the country, we are capable of undertaking a wide range of investigative and remediation techniques.
Our Ground Investigation Division provides a broad scope of coverage, capable of completing investigations ranging from single house foundation investigations, to nationally significant capital and infrastructure schemes such as HS2, Crossrail and Thames Tideway. Our available techniques include:
- Cable Percussive boring to 100m
- Rotary Coring and Openholing to 150m
- Dynamic Sampling
- Dynamic Probing
- Trial Pitting
Our experience over 50 years of business allows us to undertake both land and nearshore marine investigations, works in secure or high risk environments, and a wide range of difficult and restricted access projects.
The Drill and Grout Division take pride in their capability to deliver both Bulk Infill and more Technical Grouting solutions, with a range of techniques including:
- Mineworking Investigation
- Bulk Infill
- Mineshaft Infill
- Dam Leak Sealing
- Cutoff Walls
- TAM Grouting
- Rock Fracture Grouting
Supporting our Ground Investigation business, we maintain one of the country’s largest single site Geotechnical Laboratories, UKAS accredited for over 40 test disciplines, which undertakes testing for internal and external projects. The laboratory also maintains our In-Situ testing capability, including CBR and Plate Bearing tests.
