Certificates at your fingertips
Making sure our crews have immediate access to up-to-date information about their rigs is vital to our operations. Rig certificates, lifting accessories, and user information (manuals etc) are easily stored in a folder in a support vehicle, but how easily are they damaged, or outdated copies retained as well as the new certificate? Soil Engineering’s plant department realised that this doesn’t need to be the case.
Last month we commenced the rollout of the new version of our plant data access system, at the completion of a 6-month trial. The app-based interface allows a QR code on the rig to be scanned, providing access to our records database. Our staff then have immediate access to critical information including:
- User Manuals
- Plant Drawings
- Certifications
- Works Procedures
- Our Exclusion Zones handbook to aid in producing safe and secure working area setups
Where required for site records, the documents are all downloadable, and can be shared with clients directly from the system.
Gone are the days of coffee stains on a certificate.
