Sonic Drilling enhancing delivery of Intelligent Geoservices at Soil Engineering
Some might say “about time”, but Soil Engineering’s continued upgrade and expansion of the drilling fleet now includes the Eijkelkamp Fraste XL140 Duo rig with Sonic Drilling Capability.
Unveiled at this year’s Geotechica show, the latest addition to our highly flexible Ground Investigation Fleet also supports the launch of our “Specialist Geoservices” unit. Specialist Geoservices will allow even more flexible access to our superb onsite technical offering including deep coring, insitu testing, hydrogeological testing and more. The CRS XL140 Duo, with its dual Sonic Drilling and Rotary Coring head mirrors this flexibility, providing effective penetration of superficial deposits before continuing boreholes in rock delivering high-quality core. Bespoke safety features include overhoist devices on all winches (We’re the UK’s first Ground Investigation specialist to specify this as a factory fit feature) and extra wide tracks improving stability and decreasing soft-ground impact. This rig is built to deliver safely across a wide range of settings.
